To help millions of people, the Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service launched a web tool allowing quick registration for Economic Impact Payments for those who don’t normally file a tax return.
Tax Deadlines
July 15, 2020
In response to the COVID-19 Outbreak, the filing deadline for tax returns has been moved to July 15, 2020. Income tax payment deadlines for individuals and C-Corporations are being automatically extended until July 15, 2020

Who is Eligible for Economic Stimulus Checks?

Tax filers with adjusted gross income up to $75,000 for individuals and up to $150,000 for married couples filing joint returns.
-
Filers with income above those amounts - the payment is reduced by $5 for each $100 above the thresholds.
-
Single filers with income exceeding $99,000 and $198,000 for joint filers with no children are not eligible.

Eligible taxpayers who filed tax returns for either 2019 or 2018 will automatically receive an economic impact payment.

Parents also receive $500 for each qualifying child.

We continue to follow COVID-19 Protocol and are forgoing client appointments to drop off paperwork. Please use the client portal to submit the paperwork required to manage your tax and accounting needs. If you are not comfortable or unable to use the portal, please drop your paperwork at the front reception desk in an envelope labeled: For Karen Collom, CPA.
